Billing & CRM

To mitigate the risks posed by end-of-life systems, and increasing complexity of the South Australian (global) energy market, SA Power Networks (SAPN) recently implemented a project to transform its Billing and Customer Relationship Management systems and capabilities. Since going live in May 2021, the program has successfully realised the projected cost savings, downgraded strategic risks, assured cashflow and laid a technical foundation to support SAPN’s strategic plan. Achieving this has required extensive integration with over 70 industry participants, three key vendor organisations and a team size of 400+ people in 6 countries, a highly complex undertaking whilst in COVID-19 restrictions.

Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex - Development Application and Environmental Impact Assessment

The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex will be Australia's first private rocket launch facility to be developed and constructed and is of strategic importance to Australia. The development application and associated environmental impact statement are unique studies which required the involvement of over 30 subject matter experts. It required the development of testing and research methodologies which have never been used in Australia before. The level of complexity was very high as there were no previous similar projects to inform the assessment process. The resulting study is a 3,500 technical document which is a first for Australia.

Flinders Link

The Flinders Link project extends Adelaide Metro’s existing Tonsley Line over the new Southern Expressway, connecting to the Flinders health and education precinct. The $141m project involved construction of two new rail stations, a 430-metre viaduct, 1.5km of new track and an elevated walkway. Gateway South (GWS), a Laing O’Rourke and Fulton Hogan joint venture, participated in design development with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and was subsequently contracted for delivery. Innovations included Australia’s first use of Trac Rail Transposer machines and industry-leading digital project controls. Flinders Link was delivered on time and to budget, achieving a defect-free status.

The Riverside Centre Upgrades Project

The $24.5 million Riverside Centre upgrades project encompassed the internal fitout of office accommodation for approximately 400 staff from various State Government Agencies distributed over 8,500sqm of office space across seven floors. These works occurred in conjunction to Base Building improvements to reinvigorate the facility and bring it closer to PCA A Grade standard. Turner & Townsend successfully delivered contemporary upgrades that transformed ways of working with greater collaboration and use of technology. The project directly benefitted tenants, staff, and building occupants by providing modern, flexible, sustainable, and efficient enhancements that simultaneously supported modern-day values and requirements of office accommodation.
